If your patient misses a dose of warfarin they should not take two doses on the same day. It is safer to miss a dose than double the dose.

Warfarin dosing can be confusing. Some people need quite small dose changes to control their treatment. We do not recommend breaking warfarin tablets in half although this can be done.
